The book is about the human side of interactions between board members and management. As secretary of a board of directors early on in my career, I was involved in board matters; probably, in contrast to my educational background as a lawyer, the less formal and less visible issues attracted me the most. Over time and with more experience in different roles and functions with boards, the more potential I saw in improving the interactions within a board and between the board and the management. That laid out the soil for this book.
