MuleSoft Connectors and Use Cases
In the previous chapter, we learned how to build and deploy a Mule application using a Salesforce connector. We know that a connector is a resource that helps connect different systems. In general, each system will have its own way to connect. For example, to connect SAP, we need to use the tRFC protocol. Similarly, while connecting to databases (such as Oracle, MSSQL, and MySQL), we need to use the JDBC protocol. In order to simplify the connectivity across different systems, MuleSoft provides connectors. So, we need not worry about underlying protocols or methods used to connect different systems.
