Introduction
In this chapter, we examine the first of many standard tools used to manage MPLS networks. The MPLS Label Switching Router MIB (MPLS-LSR MIB) lies at the conceptual heart of the MPLS management framework and the standard MPLS MIBs. Accordingly, the MIB is also the basis of many management applications that are based on the MPLS MIBs. In short, this MIB provides the user with a snapshot of what the label forwarding (switching) database looks like at any moment in time.
