Summary
Recording clean useable sound on location is an art requiring practice and the right equipment. While basic sound-recording principles remain constant, a mojo needs to know how to shoot video and record sound at the same time. In this chapter we’ll explore basic sound-recording principles and the differences between microphones. I’ll introduce the various cables and accessories available for recording sound with a smartphone and briefly discuss a number of apps for recording and transferring audio.
