Chapter 6. Designing and Building RESTful Applications with Modern Java EE
The first half of this book detailed why REST is the preferred way for building the server side of the applications for Modern Web Applications. In Chapter 4, “REST Web Services in WebSphere Liberty,” we introduced a simple JAX-RS service and took you through a simple example. This chapter focuses on building Modern Java Enterprise Edition (EE) applications to facilitate modern RESTful systems. We first discuss Modern Java EE. Then we detail how to design the application and end with a more detailed example.
