Social Responsiveness

The previous section discussed social responsibility, a business’s obligation to take action that protects and improves the welfare of society along with the business’s own interests. This section defines and discusses social responsiveness, the degree of effectiveness and efficiency an organization displays in pursuing its social responsibilities.22 The greater the degree of effectiveness and efficiency, the more socially responsive the organization is said to be.
