Chapter 7 Signal Reception
7.1 Introduction
This chapter is the first of three devoted to the headend. Chapter 7 covers the ways in which signals get into the headend. Chapter 8 will cover the electronics used in processing the signals once they get into the headend, and Chapter 9 will cover topics related to the signals after they have been processed.
Chapter 7 deals primarily with antennas of various types used to capture signals for the headend, and with propagation of signals from the source to those antennas.
