A quarter of a century after the Chernobyl nuclear accident, books decay and paint peels in a school library.
The natural light coming in through the windows would have made the majority of the books fade into the dark. In order to keep the viewer’s attention inside the room and focused on the cacophony of books on the floor, I placed one strobe in the far room and kept a second strobe on-camera, bouncing the light off the walls.
