Conformal Antennas for Mobile Terminals
2.1Introduction
The typical requirements for antenna designs for millimeter wave 5G mobile terminals are introduced in this chapter. Conventionally, antennas designed for mobile terminals must be future proof and be compliant with various sub-bands of operation of the cellular network. The antenna must also operate independently of the network provider, hence wideband antennae are preferable in the context of a mobile terminal. However, wideband antennae do not necessarily mean that high gain could be achieved for the available aperture of the antenna.
