Preparing the Labour Room

Preparing labour room includes readying the labour room to conduct labour anytime.

OBJECTIVES

1. Conduct safe delivery
2. Save time and energy while conducting labour
3. Deal with emergency immediately
4. Receive healthy baby and healthy mother

PREPARING THE SETTING FOR LABOUR

• Labour room should be fumigated every week.
• Labour table should be cleaned with antiseptic lotion.
• Sterile mackintosh sheets should be used on the labour table.
• Articles for foetal monitoring should be kept ready.
• Entry without gown and mask should be prohibited.

PREPARING THE DELIVERY SET
