Automatic Updates Deployment

The following versions of Windows already contain the version of Automatic Updates that supports SUS, so you don’t have to deploy a client:

• Install Windows 2000 SP3

• Install Windows XP SP1

• Install Windows Server 2003

For all other versions of Windows, SUS requires the installation of Automatic Updates, a feature that allows Windows-based computers to receive content from the SUS server.
