The following are best practices from this chapter:
• Organizations using Hyper-V should use VMM 2012 instead of previous versions of VMM to get the most out of the virtual management environment.
• VMM 2012 can only be installed on Windows Server 2008 x64, Standard and Enterprise Editions or Windows Server 2008 R2 x64, Standard and Enterprise Editions.
• Ensure the system that VMM is being installed on is attached to a Windows domain.
• For most deployments, VMM can be installed on the same system as the SQL Server instance that hosts the VMM database.
