Let’s briefly review the meaning of XLVs. XLVs are specifically geared at presenting data sourced from lists and libraries throughout SharePoint sites. You also encounter DFWPs, which can be used to present both list and library data sources and external data sources, such as data sourced from an external SQL database or Web service.
