Working with Views in SharePoint Designer
One of the new powerful features of SharePoint 2010 is the out-of-the-box XLVs. But you also have a degree of flexibility when choosing to format and style data in SharePoint Designer, including the ability to choose either an XLV or DFWP, along with sourcing internal and external data sources. In this section, you learn about working with XLVs and DFWPs in SharePoint Designer, including snapshots of some of the editing features available for each view type.
