Office Integration
A major benefit of working with and configuring External Lists is that you can integrate data with Office applications, such as Microsoft Outlook and SharePoint Workspace. A typical scenario for Office integration is one in which you have configured an ECT to a customer database and then want to make the External List containing customer records available to sales staff through Outlook. In this section, you learn how you can integrate ECTs with Outlook as well as take ECTs offline with SharePoint Workspace.
