SharePoint 2010 CSS Landscape

There are many new features in SharePoint 2010 compared to SharePoint 2007 that you should be aware of when styling sites with CSS. The ribbon is a major new feature in SharePoint 2010 and this chapter shows you how you can use CSS to style the SharePoint ribbon. There are other features, such as the dialog, that you also need to consider when creating custom CSS, although the emphasis is much more around how you handle new DIVs and classes added to custom master pages, in relation to dialogs, which is covered in Chapter 17.
