Although this book primarily focuses on customizing SharePoint Server 2010, key differences between customizing SharePoint Foundation 2010 and SharePoint Server 2010 are demonstrated where applicable. Where the book refers to functionality synonymous to both SharePoint Foundation 2010 and SharePoint Server 2010, the term SharePoint 2010 is used. Similarly, where the book refers back to SharePoint Server 2007 and Windows SharePoint Services 3.0 functionality, the term SharePoint 2007 is used where functionality is synonymous. The book also assumes enterprise-level licensing in discussing SharePoint Server 2010 functionality.
