Docking OneNote to the Desktop
Docking OneNote to the desktop means to shunt OneNote to the right side of the screen where it is out of the way but can still be used for taking and reading notes. Dock OneNote when you are taking notes from a browser window or document.
Use these techniques to dock and undock OneNote:
Click the Dock to Desktop button on the Quick Access toolbar.
Click the Dock to Desktop button on the View tab.
Press Ctrl+Alt+D.
You can change the width of the OneNote screen after it is docked by dragging the left side. When docked, OneNote presents an abridged version of the ribbon with only four tabs: Home, Draw, View, and Pages.
