In this chapter, we have highlighted the importance of information security in your SharePoint Server 2007 implementation. We have reviewed and discussed the concepts of confidentiality, integrity, and authenticity. We also reviewed capabilities provided within SharePoint Server 2007, such as information classification, access controls, and permissions. Lastly, we reviewed some specific security mechanisms that can be used to minimize the risks associated with the execution of custom code.
