Formatting Graphics

After you create or insert a graphic object, Office Excel 2007 provides tools you can use to modify it. Most of these tools are on hidden Ribbon tabs that appear only when an object is selected.

This is the exception that proves the rule: No additional tabs appear on the Ribbon when an embedded object is selected. For more about embedded objects, see "Inserting Other Objects".

Three types of hidden tabs exist, depending on the object you select: SmartArt Tools, Drawing Tools, or Picture Tools appear on a menu bar above the new tabs.
