Mailbox import and export
Exchange 2010 SP1 introduced a new method to import data to and export data from mailboxes based on the requests model as implemented for mailbox moves. A new PST writer library written by the Exchange development group is used, and there is no requirement to install Outlook or a MAPI library on any Exchange server to be able to import from a PST or export to a PST. Exchange 2013 completes the development for the new model by integrating mailbox import and export options into the EAC user interface to make these tasks easier.
