Active Directory Site Routing
Previous versions of Exchange required an extra layer of routing configuration in the form of routing groups to determine how servers communicated with one another and how clients communicated with servers. Exchange Server 2007 does away with routing groups, instead building on the site topology of Active Directory itself.
