Introduction to SSRS

SSRS, or Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services, is a client/server reporting platform that is installed within Microsoft SQL Server. It is based on the Service Oriented Architecture (SOA), so it can be used as a service. SSRS was introduced within Microsoft Dynamics CRM 3.0 using Microsoft SQL Server 2000 (previously, CRM used Crystal Reporting). Microsoft Dynamics CRM 4.0 uses SQL Server 2005 or SQL Server 2008 and either version of SSRS. And CRM 2011 uses SQL Server 2008 and SQL Server 2008 R2.
