Nanocomposite coatings: A review

Abstract:
This chapter discusses nanocomposite coatings and provides an overview of different nanocomposite coatings applied on various substrates. It describes the main deposition techniques, the coating properties and characterization methods; gives a brief description of nanocomposite polymer coating, and discusses some possible applications in areas such as the automotive, aerospace, electronics and biomedical sectors. Finally, perspectives for the field and future trends are reported.
