OUTSOURCING – RISK ASSESSMENT
Once you have decided what or what not is to be outsourced and have established a project team, the next stage is to undertake a full risk assessment and identify the threats to successful implementation. Initially, you need to undertake three risk assessments:
- 1.as you are today
- 2.the project itself
- 3.where you want to be.
Risk assessments 2 and 3 will help to frame the request for proposal (RFP), the criteria for selecting the supplier and, most importantly, the service level agreement (SLA).
Risk assessments 2 and 3 will then be reviewed at each critical stage of the project. When the SLA is signed, the supplier should provide its own risk assessment (step 4) and agree indicators by which risks are to be monitored. ...
