Chapter 1. Getting Started with Visual Basic 2008
I'm assuming that you have installed one of the several versions of Visual Studio 2008. For this book, I used the Professional Edition of Visual Studio, but just about everything discussed in this book applies to the Standard Edition as well. Some of the features of the Professional Edition that are not supported by the Standard Edition concern database tools, which are discussed in Chapter 21 through 24 of this book.
