 PRINCIPAL CIRCUITS

A Principal Circuit is the longest circular path through a block. As the largest circuit of dependent nodes in a block, a Principal Circuit defines the size of the block. Principal Circuits are the most important circuits in our DSM spreadsheet. Until we identify, characterize, and tear these circuits, we might not be finished.

 SHUNTS

Sometimes blocks do not have just one set of circular dependencies; they have several. Shunts cause these other dependencies.
