Yellow PY42 or PY43

Yellow Ocher

Natural or synthetic inorganic pigment from the iron oxide family.

The pigment PY43 identifies a natural earth color, while PY42 is its synthetic counterpart. Natural earth colors have slightly less coloring power than synthetic iron oxides. The shade of yellow ocher, whether natural or synthetic, can vary slightly from manufacturer to manufacturer.

It is better to choose a bright yellow ocher, and one that is not too opaque, in order to keep your mixtures from becoming muddy.
