Chapter 1. Explore Quicken
Before you start working with Quicken, you need to see the tools that Quicken gives you. In this chapter, you’ll explore the user interface from two versions of Quicken: Quicken 2005 for Windows and Quicken 2005 for Macintosh. Though the two programs look different, both deliver all of the financial savvy you need to manage your money.
On Windows, there are four versions of Quicken 2005, with increasing amounts of features and capabilities: Basic, Deluxe, Premier, and Premier Home & Business. On the Macintosh, there’s just one version, called Quicken 2005 for Mac.
Start up Quicken. On Windows, point at the Start menu, choose Programs, then choose Quicken, and then choose Quicken 2005.
