Finding and managing scientific information
Abstract
The new digital technologies and the Internet have changed how researchers gather and use scientific information. The processes of gathering information and managing it are integrated in researchers’ daily routine of working at the lab bench, writing papers, and discussing research findings. This chapter outlines some strategies for searching and filtering scientific information using the “smart” features and tools provided by database publishers.
