The Matrix is a movie loaded with symbolism and innuendo. In the scene where Neo (anagram for “one” as in “The One”) is rescued from the womb (the true meaning for “matrix”), he encounters Morpheus (god of dreams) and inquires why his eyes hurt. “You’ve never used them before,” is the reply. The contents of this book represent my knowledge management (KM) “wake up” call. It describes my venture into a world of the familiar and the new. It gave me a new way to view the value of organizational knowledge. And in some cases, I was using my eyes for the first time.
