Statement on reference sources
The bibliography at the back of this book lists all source material texts. They are arranged in alphabetical order. References within each chapter are noted as superscripts and detailed at the end of the chapter in which they have been used.
Recent statistical data has been gleaned from a range of sources, most notably from the World Wide Web (www). The European Union cultural pages have proved a valuable source. These Internet sources have been referenced in the Bibliography as a separate list from the print-based material. In most cases the main ‘home’ page is referenced.
