Procedures
In this section, we look at what procedures are already in place, and what evidence you have to show that relevant people know what these are. Eventually we can see if there are any gaps, but will start with “what written procedures already exist?” Having identified the way everything moves through the business, go back to your plans and checklists to see:
• If there are procedures already in place;
• If they are written down;
• When they were put together;
• Do they need to be amended (which means you will have to look at them to check!).
Now is the ideal opportunity to review these procedures with the people involved to see whether they are workable, relevant, appropriate and, of course, safe. ...
