Your Job Challenges Versus Your Skills, Effort, and Support
Your ability to create a positive impact for your organization and yourself also depends on your fit with the job, specifically your job challenges and whether or not you (1) have the necessary skills to address these challenges, (2) put in the required effort, and (3) receive adequate support to do your job (Figure 6). The bigger the misfit (“skills, effort, and support gap”), the more difficult it is for you to create a positive impact for your organization and for yourself.
