STEP 4: TRANSFER KNOWLEDGE

You have captured the necessary data and information. But you are not finished yet. Now you must take that data and make it available to the people who need it. The appropriate transfer strategy depends on the methods used to capture the information, the complexity of the information, and the immediacy of the need.

During this step, you will

• edit the captured material
• develop transfer tools including handouts, job aids, and other needed materials
• transfer the information.

EDIT CAPTURED MATERIALS

The knowledge capture provides a lot of data and information. Your goal here is to edit and focus that material into something easily used. Delete what isn’t critical. Clarify anything vague or unclear.
