Positioning ESG

Vive la Difference….

Pundits conflate the separate disciplines of “E,” “S,” and “G” as though they are one subject. Responses to “E,” “S,” and “G” pressures, and (increasingly) to regulatory demands, will share certain common components, but the three areas of “E,” “S,” and “G” are quite different disciplines, albeit being linked to the broader social theme of sustainability. This book tackles “E,” “S,” and “G” questions as three distinct subjects. In addition, we recognize that third-party relationship management also has a profound role to play in responding to ESG pressures. So, the sixth part of this book focuses on this area and we use the moniker “3PM” (third-party management) to describe this discipline.
