A little over a year ago, I had the opportunity to purchase an incredibly rare WSW audio console from the mid 1960s. This particular desk had formerly been in service on the road, so the whole thing was racked in heavy-duty subframes, boxed in custom cases. Each case had an I/O panel for power and audio signals such that the entire complement of modules could be snaked together and disassembled nightly.
