iDVD

iDVD isn’t really part of Mac OS X, although you may have a copy of it: As part of the iLife software suite, it came free on every new Mac until 2011, when Apple let iDVD die. iDVD lets you turn your digital photos or camcorder movies into DVDs that work on almost any DVD player, complete with menus, slideshow controls, and other navigation features. iDVD handles the technology; you control the style.
