Complete your word automatically
The Complete command in the Edit menu pops up a menu of possible completions for an unfinished word, as shown below. The list learns new words—type a word once, then next time you start to type it, that word appears in the list. Frequently used words appear at the top.
1. | Start to type a word that you're not sure how to spell or one that is long and you don't want to type the whole thing. |
2. | From the Edit menu, choose “Complete,” or press Option Escape. A menu like the one shown below will appear. Either double-click on the word you want, or use the Down arrow key to select a word and then hit Return. |
