Extensions Manager
Extensions Manager (Figure 2) is a control panel that enables you turn individual extensions, drivers, control panels, startup items, and shutdown items on or off. An item that is turned off does not load at startup so it is disabled.

Extensions Manager also lets you create sets of item settings. By creating a variety of sets for different purposes, you can change settings quickly and easily by selecting a menu item.
Tip
After making changes in the Extensions Manager control panel, you must restart your computer for the changes to take effect.
