Restarting Your Computer
To configure and use your newly installed Mac OS 9 software, you must restart your computer. This loads the new software into the computer's RAM and, if necessary, launches the Mac OS Setup Assistant.
To restart your computer
If you are not prompted to restart your computer at the conclusion of the installation process (Figure 17), choose Special > Restart (Figure 18).

Tip
Do not restart your computer by turning off power and then turning it back on! This can cause file corruption. I tell you other ways to restart your computer in Chapter 2.
