Studio
Take a look at any contemporary fashion magazine, or the images that follow in this chapter, and you will see clearly just how varied studio-based fashion photography is. With the possible exception of catalog shots, there is often less of a need—or desire—to present dry, static images that simply show little more than how an item looks, with far greater emphasis placed on creating a very specific look.
This is something that the studio is better equipped for than location-based shooting, as the starting point is a (literal) blank canvas.
