Challenges Today
Projects throughout the world are challenged. Think of your projects. What percentage were completed on time, on budget, and with the anticipated scope? What percentage never made it to the finishing line to land in the big project junk pile in the sky? Organizations such as Gartner and the Standish Group provide statistics each year that tell the same story. The fact is only 36 percent of projects today are completed successfully, with an additional 47 percent in the challenged category.
