Scoring the Challenge
The challenge score will be determined using the following system:
- Mission Objective 1 completed successfully: 5 points
- Mission Objective 2 completed successfully: 5 points
- Mission Objective 3 completed successfully: 5 points
- Mission Objective 4 completed successfully: 5 points
- Any portion of Robot crosses mat boundaries: –1 point per violation
Earning Bonus Points
If you like, you can choose to assign bonus points according to the following scheme:
- All mission objectives successful in the proper order: 5 points
- All mission objectives successful (in order) in less than 1 minute: 5 points
- Ultrasonic sensor on robot used in any manner: 1 point
- Sound sensor on robot used in any manner: 1 point
