The Innovation Framework
First comes thought; then organization of that thought, into ideas and plans; then transformation of those plans into reality. The beginning, as you will observe, is in your imagination.
One of the things I discovered at a business school is that every theory eventually evolves into a framework. Business professors like frameworks almost as much as they like 2 × 2 diagrams. Perhaps there is a framework for creating 2 × 2 diagrams (in which case, we may like frameworks more than 2 × 2 diagrams, but that is starting to sound like the whole chicken-and-egg thing), although none of my colleagues has shared such a framework with me.
