Foreword

Over the past 100 years we have expanded the lower mental thought of logic to the higher mental thought of concepts, recognizing that patterns are key to navigating in a changing, uncertain, and complex environment. This means understanding what we don’t know, what we need to know, how we come to know it, when do we need it, and what we need to do with it.

Along this road we’ve come to recognize that at any specific time, knowledge is not only context-sensitive and situation dependent, but also imperfect and incomplete.
