Seven habits of highly effective people (Covey)
The big picture
Educator, author and speaker Stephen R. Covey (1932–2012) wrote The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People based on what he described as ‘universal and timeless principles’. To be highly effective, according to Covey, you need to move away from a haphazard approach to life and introduce some self-discipline into both your working and your private life, all based on a set of core values and principles.
The book introduces seven ‘imperatives’ in three main areas, moving from dependence to independence, interdependence and continuous improvement.
