There is a strange duality to being a KA manager, hired by a company to represent customers. This makes the role different from many other jobs, having two opposing masters.

Every single company has a unique culture, shaped by the environment it operates in and the kind of people it attracts. This forms the corporate culture, which influences every aspect of the work.

Everybody has their priorities, and there will be suspicion of yours. So best to be clear about what you stand for.

The job causes stress, and it’s lonely to stand in the middle between your company and the customer. Managing this stress is a must for a long, healthy career.
