Chapter 8. Engaging Your Users

The web site as the public sees it is called the front end. One of the benefits of Joomla is that users can edit and add web content from this public view. Even if you create a web site for nontechnical users, Joomla makes it easy for them to add or edit content using the front end of your web site. In order for users to contribute to the site, you need to enable user registration and assign access levels.

This chapter covers creating front-end user accounts, as well as adding, editing, publishing, printing, and emailing content. Finally, you’ll learn how you, as the administrator, can manage this content from the back end.
