In the future, consumer electronics devices will no longer be stand-alone. Instead, they will be highly connected components that interact with each other. This vision of convergence and connectivity has been a long time coming and has now arrived. Today, connectivity is primarily done via PCs and hard-wired connections (such as synchronization of PDAs and music players), but in the future, individual CE devices will be themselves directly connected to the Internet as well to each other.
